Changes Lyrics

“Changes” is a poignant reflection on loss and acceptance, primarily about the bittersweet passage of time and the inevitable shifts in relationships. Kelly and Ozzy Osbourne explore this through the story of a daughter’s departure – initially a cherished “baby,” now grown and moving forward. The core message revolves around acknowledging and navigating these transformative periods, symbolized repeatedly by the refrain "We're going through changes.” The song evokes deep sadness and regret as Ozzy wishes he could rewind time, while Kelly grapples with the realization of her father’s passing and the distance that has grown between them. Despite the pain, there’s a sense of understanding and ultimately, acceptance; both artists recognize the natural evolution of life and relationships, acknowledging that even though things have changed irrevocably, moving forward is essential. The repeated “changes” underscores this theme of adaptation and letting go with heartfelt emotion.
