2 Times Lyrics

“Two Times” by Ann Lee is a hypnotic exploration of desire, obsession, and the frustrating pursuit of connection. The repetitive “two times, three times” mantra embodies a cyclical yearning – an insistent plea for more, a desperate attempt to grasp something fleeting and ultimately elusive. The lyrics depict a captivating yet unsettling dynamic; someone is relentlessly offered “more,” but the speaker constantly searches and never finds fulfillment, suggesting a dangerous dance of dependence. "Easy gone" represents the ephemeral nature of this attraction, while phrases like “letting door open you now” highlight an invitation into a potentially consuming relationship. Ultimately, the song conveys a feeling of being trapped in a loop, driven by intense longing and the unsettling realization that the object of desire remains just out of reach, repeated endlessly with a haunting, almost trance-like quality.
